Space and Airborne Systems is growing rapidly and taking on increasing prime level responsibilities in Space, Airborne Combat Systems, Intel & Cyber, and Mission Networks domains. As such, our subcontracting team is leveling up to take on more complex subcontract management responsibility to help drive a sustainable competitive advantage and accelerate the delivery of cutting-edge capability to the warfighter. To play a key leadership role in this charter, the functional homeroom of Subcontracts is looking for a Subcontracts Transformation Manager to join the team and help evolve the subcontracts function. The Subcontracts Transformation Manager will establish and lead Subcontracts Transformation, including helping to define the vision and establishing and managing process, roadmap, and pipeline. This individual will coordinate closely with the Subcontracts Management Committee and Subcontracts Key User Group for idea generation, prioritization, project staffing; drive project execution; and lead periodic portfolio reviews and executive briefings. The successful candidate will deliver impactful innovation services that appropriately pair the right approaches and methods with project size and scope to achieve high-quality, cost-effective outcomes.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible to establish and maintain the subcontracts transformation process, roadmap, and pipeline.

Responsible for transforming needs into actionable innovation opportunities and proactively identifying, analyzing, and leading implementation of new technology and processes.

Responsible for working with and leading multi-disciplinary teams to identify, assess, scale, and optimize solutions to meet agency goals and objectives.

Responsible for implementing measurable objectives such as SLAs and XLAs to capture and provide reporting that demonstrates the positive impact of innovation on business outcomes and customer experience.
Qualifications:

The experiences noted above are typically met through a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience or a Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum 15 years in relevant experience required.
Preferred Additional Skills:

Program and project management experience across program lifecycle phases, customer types, contract types, and domains.

Proven success in matrixed leadership positions.

Multi-functional business acumen (i.e., Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, etc.)

Continuous Improvement certifications (i.e., Six Sigma or equivalent)
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $105,000 - $225,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
