Job Description:
This job function is within the OTC Derivatives and Marketing Middle Office group within CIB Operations. The group is responsible for providing customer support to OTC Derivative clients for Commodities, Equity, Credit and Rates Derivative products. Functions in the group include confirmation of payments and processing of daily settlements. Other responsibilities include the investigation of settlement discrepancies and contacting counterparties on Derivative settlement related issues. Members of the group are also responsible for sending Mark-To-Market Valuation statements and completing audit confirmations.
- Participate in planning and executing a variety of programs, services, and initiatives, and monitor key indicators to ensure effective performance and control management of assigned operations or business groups.
- Review basic initiatives including policy or process changes, process improvements, technology enhancements, and conduct regular reviews to identify efficiencies and cost savings opportunities.
- Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgement while developing an understanding of policies and procedures, best practices, and initiatives. Collaborate and consult with mid-level managers or cross-functional business partners.
- Provide work direction to less experienced Strategy and Execution staff.
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ months of Business Operations, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, and/or education.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with developing test scenarios for the Settlement and Marketing Middle Office team located in Charlotte and India. These scenarios will primarily be tested in the Calypso Consolidated Derivatives Back Office (CDBO) application.
- Assist in developing sign-off criteria and any other project related documentation.
- Assist in testing the developed test scenarios.
- Attend project testing update meetings meeting to raise issues, provide testing progress.
- Function as a liaison with the project team and the management of the OTC Settlement and Marketing Middle Office team around testing.
- As capacity allows, the candidate will also assist with entry level Settlement or Marketing MO functions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Strong customer service skills
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate through oral and written communication skills in a way that clearly conveys information and ideas.
- Candidates must have the ability to perform under pressure with a high motivation/energy level while managing multiple tasks to established deadlines
Preferred skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access
- Experience with OTC Derivatives
- Experience with Derivative Settlements
- Experience with CDBO and/or CIRC applications
