We are looking for an LVN to care for our patients and facilitate their recovery. Our residential treatment centers are located in beautiful neighborhoods in both Encino and Santa Clarita, CA. In addition to the duties listed below we are looking for an LVN who is passionate about recovery and can relate to an adolescent population. The ideal candidate will be a responsible and well-trained professional able to give the best nursing care with little supervision. You will be compassionate and serve as a role model to our youth. You will be able to follow health and safety guidelines faithfully and consistently. The goal is to promote patient’s well-being by providing high-quality nursing care.
Responsibilities :
- Maintain records pertaining to client medication count, daily vitals, height and weight
- Manage urine specimen collection for all clients according to company policies and procedures
- Oversee medication destruction of all discontinued medication according to company policy and procedures
- Responsible for preventing client abuse by adhering to all policies and procedures, attending periodic training, reporting suspicious and inappropriate behavior, and following mandatory abuse reporting requirements.
- Provide direct care and nursing services to clients according to program policies and procedures, and/or individual treatment plan
- Monitor chronic health conditions and evaluate medical concerns.
- Report any client health concerns (e.g. unusual vital signs, weight, illness) to Director of Nursing
- Comply with all reporting requirements, biohazard program requirements, medical protocols, etc.
- Is responsible for requesting inventory and requisition supplies and instruments (drug screens, breathalyzer, etc.)
- Is responsible for the monthly first aid boxes checks and keep staff updated of their location and ensures staff access to at least one of the boxes at the facilities.
- Is responsible for scheduling any off-site medical appointment for clients
- Maintain compliance with HIPPA regulations, ADA and Joint Commission policies and procedures.
- Documentation of client/staff COVID protocols according to policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirement :
- Current LVN license in California and 2 years prior nursing experience
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and decision making skills required.
- Must present a professional and compassionate demeanor in all interactions.
- Experience in residential nursing
- EMR savvy - KIPU is a plus
- Able to work in a fast paced setting, under pressure, and maintain open, and proper communication.
- Mon-Fri 2:30pm-11pm

Pay: From $31.00 per hour
