- Process all prescriptions through insurance received electronically, by fax, over the phone and/or in person in a timely manner
- Resolve all rejections from the insurances quick and accurately
- Make initial calls to patients regarding their medications received from the office
- Communicate directly with the Dr. offices when issues dealing with patients medications occur
- Send Prior Authorization claims to the designated doctor’s office to be processed
- Ensure reimbursements from each drug billed is profitable
- Be able to Multitask
- Be a team player
The duties and responsibilities of the Filler are to:
- Fill all medications processed through the insurance
- Make sure the drug billed matches the NDC on hand
- Carefully count the EXACT quantity needed for each script
- Neatly label the vials with the patients information and all other important auxiliary labels
- Make sure all patients medication are being dispensed together in one basket
- Be able to Multitask
- Be a team player
The duties and responsibilities of the Patient Care Advocate/Customer Representative are:
- Call patients to verify demographics for pick up or delivery
- Answer all calls that come through the pharmacy
- Gather patients credit card information for delivery if it is not on file
- Communicate to the patients regarding their medications
- Must be able to process refills at patients request when needed
- Communicate with the office regarding medication issues of a patient
- Be able to Multitask
- Be a team player
Must be a Certified/Registered Pharmacy Technician
- Previous 8-10+ years of Retail Pharmacy/Long Term Care/Compounding Sterile/Non Sterile Hospital experience preferred
- High School Diploma/College or equivalent required
- Must be able to work flexible hours
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must possess great communication skills
- Must be able to Multitask
- Must be a team player with a High Level of Energy
