Job Description:
The Education Department at Curry College invites applications for a part-time, associate lecturer to teach and support initial teacher licensure candidates preparing to take the Communication and Literacy Skills Reading and Writing Subtests subtest in our baccalaureate teacher education programs.
Applicants should possess recent teaching experience and content expertise in reading, reading comprehension and writing development and mechanics, as well as a demonstrated, strong understanding and experience with recent test versions of the Communication and Literacy Skills Reading and Writing sub-tests.
Job Requirements:
This position requires at least a master's degree in an appropriate education related discipline, at-least 1-3 years teaching and experience at the PK-early high school level. Experience teaching adult and college age students in person with a variety of learning backgrounds and needs is required. Previous experience with standardized testing preparation is expected. Experience using learning management systems such as CANVAS is preferred. This course will run on Thursdays from 1:00pm-3:30pm in person beginning on Thursday, August 29, 2024 and run through the week of December 14, 2024.
