What will I do as a Maintenance Technician II/Groundskeeper?
- Maintain all outside property in optimum condition during all seasons of the year. Collaborate with maintenance team to make sure the grounds and the building are always properly cared for on a daily basis.
- Maintain the Shop and Maintenance building in a safe, clean, orderly condition.
- Mow the lawns, prune the bushes, trees, vines, and hedges, edge the walkways and give the grounds a manicured look.
- Design, plant and maintain flowerbeds by weeding and mulching.
- Maintain daily Pool logs in accordance the Department of Agriculture. Monitoring and adding pool chemicals as needed and directed.
- Assist with all phases of leaf and snow removal.
- Adheres to federal, state, and local guidelines and laws including but not limited to HIPAA, resident abuse, and Elder Justice Act

What do I need to in role of Maintenance Technician II/Groundskeeper?
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a current, valid license in good standing.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in grounds/ landscape maintenance.
- Ability to operate snow plow, salt truck, and other equipment to remove ice and snow from roads and assigned areas. Ascertain that removed snow is correctly stacked in corners, away from where it can come in the way.
- Ability to operate various types of lawn equipment, including but not limited to riding mowers such as a Zero-Turn or tractor.
- Honest, reliable, and responsible; able to work independently.
- Willing to assist with maintenance, repair, and other work when unable to work outside or as requested.
What are the physical requirements in the role of Maintenance Technician II/Groundskeeper?
Spends most time outdoors, frequent exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures possible exposure to distraction/uncomfortable noise levels and vibration of body or extremities. Risk of bodily injury from mechanical parts, electricity, etc. Possible exposure to fumes, odors, etc. that may affect respiration and skin. Able to lift up to 60 lbs.
