SociAbility is a premiere private practice with over fifteen years experience serving children, teens, and adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, social anxiety, and mood disorders. Conveniently located in Chicagoland's north shore, our passionate, collaborative staff of therapists help clients reach their goals on a daily basis. We are currently seeking licensed clinical social workers (LCSW), licensed clinical professional counselors (LCPC), licensed marriage and family therapists (LMFT), and clinical psychologists (Psy.D) with a passion to serve this community. Consideration will be given to provisionally-licensed therapists (LSW, LPC, ALMFT) with experience working with individuals with ASD. Special consideration will be given to LMFTs, AMFTs, and other therapists specifically trained in family and couples counseling.
Therapists will be responsible for providing individual and family counseling to children, teen, and adult clients, support groups for parents and siblings of children with autism, social skills groups for children and adults with autism, and related interventions.
Responsibilities:
- Providing individual and family counseling to children, teen and adult clients
- Running support groups for parents and siblings of children with autism spectrum disorder
- Facilitating social skills groups for children and adults with autism spectrum disorder and related diagnoses
- Conducting play and/or art therapy with our youngest clients
- Providing individual and family therapy for children who experience behavioral and emotional difficulties (including but not limited to anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD, etc.)
- Providing individual therapy to adults experiencing behavioral and emotional difficulties (including but not limited to anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD, etc.)
- Offering family therapy, parent training and couples counseling
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on client needs
- Possessing strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Engaging with clients and families, and building trusting relationships
- Working effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team
- Performing timely and accurate record keeping in accordance with organizational requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Licensures: Licensed in the State of Illinois
- Master's or Doctorate Degree
