The Maintenance Technician has a critical role in providing and maintaining a comfortable living experience for our valued residents by being responsible for the general maintenance of the community and apartment homes.
Our technicians are primarily responsible for addressing residents’ requested maintenance service in a timely manner by effectively diagnosing and repairing maintenance calls, providing preventative maintenance activities and apartment turnover work.

Candidates must have comprehensive knowledge of general maintenance functions and activities including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repairs. This position requires a minimum of 3 years of general maintenance experience (carpentry, electrical, plumbing). We also look for candidates who are experienced in diagnosing and servicing boilers, hot water heaters/tanks, and HVAC systems. HVAC certification is required. Applicants must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation and be prepared to be on call for emergency calls after hours.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform electrical repairs on items such as appliances, fixtures, switches, outlets, circuits, etc.
- Perform plumbing work, such as clearing stoppages, replacing fittings, etc.
- Replace broken glass, tiles, carpet, screens, garbage disposals, fixtures, appliances, locks, etc.
- Participate in the emergency on-call schedule for the evening, weekend, and holiday coverage.
- Be responsible for inventory control and utilization of maintenance materials.
- Keep accurate records regarding preventive maintenance, service requests, apartment refurbishing, annual inspections, inventories, purchase orders.
- Perform scheduled maintenance on all heating/ventilation/air conditioning equipment based on the manufacturer’s recommendations and operating manuals.
- Periodically inspect all units, buildings, and common areas, performing repairs and janitorial assistance as needed.
- Assist in apartment move-in and move-out inspections.
- Communicate work activities and statuses with office team.
- Other duties as assigned.
