Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Office Assistant to join our small home office. The ideal candidate will provide administrative support, handle various office tasks, and assist in maintaining an efficient work environment. Love of animals, including wildlife, is a plus.
Required: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University; permitted to work in U.S.
Required Skills:
1. Written Communication
- Ability to respond to all email correspondence with speed, accuracy, and professionalism.
2. Office Organization
- Ability to manage operational aspects of the office with minimal to no supervision.
- Good time management and multitasking are needed to distribute information, meet deadlines, and complete day-to-day procedures.
- Keep updated physical and electronic files across entities.
- Track and replace office supplies as necessary to avoid interruptions.
3. Data Entry
- Ability to create and update databases and records for financial information, personnel and other data.
- Support bookkeeping with QuickBooks entries.
4. Research Skills (Paralegal Skills PREFERRED)
- Ability to search for, locate, extract, organize, evaluate and use or present information that is relevant to a particular topic.
5. Computer and Social Media/Internet Literacy
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access), Google Suite, Quickbooks, Outlook, Venmo, Cashapp, Instagram, Facebook, X, etc.
- Quick learner, if no experience with some programs.
- Will need to communicate with a Social Media Coordinator regularly.
6. Professionalism
- Ability to be confidential and discreet with all office matters.
