New Health Associates in Austin, TX is seeking experienced and impassioned full time counselor for Substance Abuse Program (DTX/RES/PHP/IOP). The Counselor is responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care activities as directed by the Clinical Director. He/she will be responsible for the care of assigned patients and will provide group, individual, and family therapies as ordered by the Clinical Director.
The Counselor will collaborate with the Treatment Team in the development of the Master Treatment Plan and assists in coordinating discharge planning.

Candidate’s Responsibilities and Duties:
· Conducting group and individual therapy sessions applying sound theoretical knowledge and utilizing best management techniques.
· Completing all notes and documentation timely in accordance with Company policies and procedures as well in compliance with Joint Commission standards.
· Engaging in quality treatment team meetings in conjunction with medical staff.
· Communicating effectively across departments in order ensure the highest quality of care is delivered.
Candidate’s Qualifications and Skills:
· Candidate must hold a valid and current Texas LPC, LPC-I, LMFT, LMFT-A, LCDC or LCSW License.
· Candidate must have experience working with substance abuse, dual diagnosis patients and behavioral mental health.
FT/PT - compensation commensurate with experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
