We are looking for a reliable LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) / RN (Registered Nurse)to work directly with a physician assisting with his daily office schedule. The ideal candidate will be professional and efficient and able to multitask in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Record a patient’s medical history accurately
- Chart review and preparation
- Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc.
- Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc.
- Administer injections, prescribed medications, and catheters.
- Assist MD with office visits, procedures and minor surgical procedures.
- Communicate with patients’ family or friends to relay information as needed.
- Assist fellow team members with phone calls, stocking, set-up, sterilizing and other responsibilities as needed.
Skills
- Proven experience as LPN or similar role
- Familiarity with safety and sanitation standards and procedures
- Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices
- Excellent knowledge of medical terminology
- Good computer skills and accurate data entry
- Good physical condition and stamina
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and able to handle stress
- Successful completion of LPN license program is a must
