JOB NATURE
Apos Physical Therapists are responsible for providing in-person physical therapy evaluations to patients experiencing knee, back, or hip pain. They are also responsible for custom-fitting the Apos FDA-cleared device to reduce pain and improve function. This is a per diem role and requires a NYS license.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops and maintains a thorough understanding of current and classic concepts of gait biomechanics in relation to physical rehabilitation and utilization of the Apos® Device.
- Performs physical therapy evaluations, on-going re-assessment and tracks patient progress through in-person (Home Health and Outpatient) and/or telehealth models of care.
- Assesses, directs, and implements suitable interventions for selected patients in the field of physical rehabilitation.
- Demonstrates effective clinical decision making and implements changes to plan of care when appropriate.
- Maintains complete and accurate patient records in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Responsible for managing inventory provided for partner sites in conjunction with logistic team members.
- Safeguards patient privacy and confidentiality by following guidelines set forth in the Privacy and Security Rules of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA)
- Completes continuing education for clinical proficiency in skills required to treat assigned patient populations including, but not limited to, Apos® Device.
- May participate in special projects as requested by company management.
- Responsible for a certain level of patient care related productivity as indicated by company procedures.
- Communicates with patients over the phone/text/email/video calls.
- Provides outstanding patient care.
Required skills and abilities.

- Demonstrate empathy and compassion when communicating with patients.
- Willingness to be licensed in other states in line with company goals.
- Experience with DME devices in physical rehabilitation.
General Requirements:
- Located in New York City.
- Willing to travel across five boroughs.
- Active Physical Therapy license in New York State.
- 3 years’ experience as a Physical Therapist with at least 2 years of outpatient experience
- CPR/BLS certification
- Driver’s license, ability to travel and flexibility with scheduling
- Access to broadband coverage.
- Ability to hold video visits in a private setting.
- Able to work at the desk in front of a computer for prolonged periods of time.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
In person work from physical therapy clinics, employer sites and patient’s homes located in New York City. Remote work using computer for prolonged periods of time. May be required to visit provider partner sites. May be required to travel to states where Apos patients are located. May be required to work extended hours and perform under time pressure to accomplish strict deadlines.

Pay: $65.00 - $100.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 16 per week
