Skopos Hospitality is a cutting-edge group of restaurants and bars located in Northern New Jersey. We are known for our craft cocktails and seasonal pub-style food menus, all set in uniquely designed spaces that transport our guests.
We are currently seeking a General Manager for our Jersey City, NJ location, Franklin Social.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of Full Service Restaurant (serving alcohol) General Management experience required.
- At least 1 year of restaurant administrative experience required.
- During the interview process, we will give you assessment questions on basic cocktail/spirits, wine, beer, and food knowledge. A beverage background is a plus!
Responsibilities
- Complete daily MOD checklists and facilities walkthroughs
- Run service shifts according to our standards
- Continuous communication with kitchen and all FOH staff to ensure proper service flow
- Send a shift recap, complete the tip spreadsheet, and cash drop each day
- Making weekly bank deposits and retrieving change needed for bar registers
- Complete any necessary accident/incident reports and attach to shift recap
- Assist in the recruitment of FOH Staff according to our Hiring & Interviewing Guide
- Attend scheduled meetings and any management training courses as they arise
- Coordinating any bar needs and issues with the Lead Bartender and the Beverage Team
- Printing and organization of all menus; ensuring that the information is up to date
- Adhering to our FOH training guidelines and ensuring that any staff training information (menu descriptions, shift notes) are up to date
- Payroll duties will include approving weekly timesheets & the tip sheet and submitting them to our accounting department on Mondays
- Scanning weekly invoices into the MarginEdge app
- Scheduling the staff adhering to our Labor Templates in 7Shifts; schedules must be posted no later than Noon on Thursdays. Responsible for approving staff availability.
- Communicating any Human Resources issues to our corporate team for advice and following through with any necessary disciplinary actions.
