Overview:
Signalink, a rapidly growing small company, is currently seeking a Jr. Model Based Systems Engineer to join the team as an integral member of a group of government, military, and contractor personnel that provide program, engineering, and technical support on a wide variety of projects.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develop, implement, and understand models and simulations for aviation customers
- Guide the establishment of requirements for digital engineering solutions applicable to aviation programs with an emphasis on the airworthiness process
- Develop integration and training requirements for the expansion of digital engineering utilization for Signalink to include integration of MBSE models with physics-based models and digital twins
- Develop of trade studies to support the selection of preferred digital engineering solutions and course of action alternatives in digital engineering implementation
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from ABET accredited college in mechanical or aerospace engineering
- 0-3 years of experience in applied Digital/Systems Engineering, Cameo, Solidworks, and/or other model based software
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and parts lists Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Must currently hold or be able to obtain a DoD security clearance at the secret level
- Ability to travel 10% of the time
Preferred Experience and Knowledge:
- Familiarity with Army standards and specifications
- Experience with rotary wing aircrafts
- Background in developing and/or reading 2D engineering drawings
