Precision Pipeline Line is hiring an Experienced Field Safety Technician to work in natural gas pipeline construction / utility construction fields to ensure safety compliance. This position also includes conducting routine field safety audits to enforce safety policies and identifying specific job hazards and precautions at various job site locations. This position requires excellent communication skills and basic computer skills sets.
- Oversee & coordinate safety on projects throughout Ohio and Surrounding states
- Investigates reportable accidents, injuries, and job damages.
- Oversee/coordinate and monitor contract service/inspection of fire extinguishers, breathing apparatus, portable gas detectors and other applicable fire/safety equipment.
- Conduct/coordinated field training meetings as needed.
- Assist Operations and Maintenance Supervision in preparation of materials for monthly safety meetings.
- Serve as member of Incident Investigation committees on "as needed" basis.
- Excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skills in both an individual and group setting
Requirements & Qualifications
- Strong understanding of pipeline construction work. The ideal candidate will have experience working directly for natural gas, electrical and other utilities.
- Candidates should be accredited in safety, including OSHA 30-hour, First Aid/CPR, and Smith System Trainer.
- Ability to perform audits and document findings of company procedures and practices.
- Ability to travel throughout Precision Pipeline’s operations in and around the Ohio area.
- Must be an effective communicator, and computer literate with familiarity of MS Office. Bilingual is a plus.
