In the role of Weld Assembler, you will undertake the responsibility of assembling, fabricating, and fitting the structural elements essential for tool construction.
Primary Duties:
- Analyze blueprint specifications and accurately locate and interpret stock lists on drawings.
- Fabricate structural components from raw materials according to specified tolerances.
- Utilize welding equipment to fuse structural elements effectively.
- Conduct thorough inspections of fabricated components to ensure dimensional accuracy.
- Employ shears, power saws, cutting torches, and chipper knives as necessary to shape structural elements.
- Proficiency in sawing, mitering, and fitting fabrications, including fitting and tacking.
- Replace defective or damaged structural components as required.
- Hold certifications in TIG and MIG welding.
- Adhere to OSHA safety regulations and ITAR compliance standards.
- Fulfill any additional assigned duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in the use of both hand and power tools.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain focus for extended periods.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Outstanding welding abilities.
Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in the role of a fitter, with a minimum of 2 years' proven experience.
