RESIDENT TECHNICIAN
Statement of Purpose
The Resident Technician fulfills the assigned role as part of the treatment team – to maintain the wellbeing of clients and the integrity of the program. Additionally, the Resident Assistant provides client supervision and staff/unit support as assigned.
Major Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities
● Provides close supervision and monitoring of residential client activities (including recovery meetings). Supervise recreational activities of residential clients. Ensures security of the facility at all times, following schedule for all client care.
● Ensures clients’ safety, clients attend scheduled activities, complete chores and attend to personal hygiene.
● Completes accurate and timely entries in the daily log.
● Assures program policies and rules are followed and reports concerns to Program Manager or Director of Clinical Services.
● Communicates openly with other staff members at shift changes and attends regularly scheduled staff meetings.
● Provides transportation and supervision of clients when away from the facility.
● Assist with conducting and documenting follow-ups.
● Advises Program Manager/Director of Clinical Services of equipment or furniture damage, shortage of/or need for supplies.
● Maintains a professional, ethical relationship with other program staff, clients, and the general public.
● Maintains required training for, and supervises self-administration of medication according to protocols, policies and procedures.
● Performs other duties as assigned.

Prerequisite Qualifications
Following are the qualifications required to perform the essential functions of this position. Qualifications may be subject to modification based on the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Specific qualifications may vary based on assignment.
_____ Must be at least 18 years of age
_____ High School Diploma or equivalency required.
_____ Must have one year full-time experience, or its part-time equivalent working in a program serving persons with mental disabilities and/or chemical dependency. If this experience requirement is not met, a plan of supervision must be completed. If facilitating groups, must be registered or certified by an approved agency.
_____ Class “C” Driver’s License (if driving for company), otherwise, will need Photo ID.
_____ CPR/First Aid certification required, obtain upon employment and maintain current thereafter.
_____ Criminal Background Clearance required
_____ Health Screen required
_____ Negative TB Test Results required
_____ Develop computer skills adequate to perform word processing duties upon employment.
Vision, hearing, manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination must be adequate for performance of job duties. Able to sit at a desk, use keyboard, write and physically perform other job duties. Able to move about the facility to observe clients and staff.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
