Infrastructure Inspection Assistant (CCTV / Sonar Crew member)

Job Description
The main focus of a CCTV / Sonar technician is to assist the Operator in completing the Inspections of large diameter sanitary sewer and storm drain pipes. This will be accomplished through a wide variety of duties that focus on Safety, preparation and productivity. Larger diameter sewer lines typically will be off-road so a large amount of time is spent in the woods and sewer easements.
Once proficient in all aspects as a technician, training will be provided for the right employees to move up within the company to be a sonar crew leader, this is a great opportunity to learn a specialized occupation in the sewer evaluation field.

Class A CDL preferred but not required
This job entails working in various locations all over the country somust be willing to work away from home, ideally applicants will live within an hour of Knoxville but will consider other options based on location and ability to get to Knoxville. Usual rotations will be 10 days on and 4 days off.
Starting pay will be anywhere from $20 Per Hour based on qualifications and experience. Pay increases and promotions based on performance and dependability.
Requirements for all positions are as follows, none are optional:
- pass pre-employment drug screen
- pass random drug screens
- Have and maintain a valid driver's license
- Have a clean driving record
- Have reliable transportation
- Willing to travel up to 2 weeks at a time (travel & per diem provided)
- Arrive on time EVERYDAY
- Willing to work different work schedules like, 10 on / 4 off; 14 on / 6 off
- Willing to work overtime
- Be able to lift 75lbs
- Basic Computer Skills (Excel, Word)
- CDL class A not essential to start but desirable, applicant must be willing and able to obtain this quickly if currently does not hold

Job Description:
Duties:
- Work with a focus on SAFETY
- Participate in safety meetings
- Arrive on time everyday
- Learn and understand the parts and functionality of a sewer system
- Learn and understand our industry’s terminology
- Learn and understand the hazards associated with confined space entry
- Build up inspection equipment in manhole when required
- Understand that open manholes must never be unattended
- Respect all team members and keep in mind the Golden Rule
- Complete daily JSA form
- Review the written plan for the work day
- Pre-Trip Inspection on vehicles, generators, pumps and other engines
- Check all fluids
- Check Tire Air Pressure
- Check Lights
- Gather needed supplies for daily activities
- Ice

- Wear proper PPE and ensure other crew members are as well
- Traffic Flagging – Specific Training required
- Be a spotter for backing vehicles
- Safely open and close manhole lids
- Measure manhole depths with a grade rod
- Measure pipe sizes of incoming & outgoing pipes
- Identify common pipe materials
- Safely install and monitor pneumatic pipe plugs
- Measure distances between manholes with measure wheel
- Assist Jet-Vac Operators with fire hoses and vacuum tubes
- Assist CCTV / Sonar Operators in setting up camera equipment
- Assist Jet-Vac Operators in setting up equipment
- Assist CCTV & Sonar Operators with lowering equipment in to manholes
- Properly set rollers and tiger tails
- Collect GPS data on all utilities and addresses within scope of project
- Accurately collect addresses for manholes, smoke leaks & lateral lines
- Properly clean camera lens
- Fill cameras and crawlers to the proper PSI
- Operate Push camera equipment properly and according to scope of contract
- Identify and flag smoke leaks
- Lower and properly place sandbags
- Properly disassemble, clean and reassemble equipment
- Assist in the installation of flow meters and rain gauges
- Assist in pole camera and 3-D manhole inspections
- Perform basic maintenance on engines according to maintenance schedule
- Read and interpret maps
- Collect mileage and engine hours on equipment
- Safely fill vehicles with the appropriate fuel
- Make sure any items with rechargeable batteries are always charged
- Complete inventory of parts on the Jet Vac truck or CCTV van
- Pick up and inventory all tools and equipment following each work set-up
