Our home office is located in Redding, CA where we offer tele-psych and face to face mental health services to patients of all ages. NAMHS provides care for over 6,000 patients in multiple clinics across Northern California. We serve a diverse population of patients ranging from mild to moderate mental illness. SUMMARY:
The role of LMFT is to provide quality mental health services to the various communities that NAMHS is serving. The therapist will accomplish this by (but not limited to) observing how people interact within units, diagnose and treat psychological disorders, guide clients through difficult life transitions, assist clients in resolving relational or behavioral problems, and help clients to replace dysfunctional behaviors with healthy alternatives.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Therapist will act in all aspects of the job in a respectful and professional manner. This is to include, but not limited to interpersonal interactions with colleagues and other staff, dressing in a professional manner that reflects their position, and maintaining a positive attitude.
- Clients will be seen at the time of their scheduled appointment in a timely manner.
- Treatment will comply with all legal and ethical standards as determined by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
- Documentation will be completed in a timely manner, and no longer than 72 hours from the time of session. It will also comply with the standards of practice established by professional norms.
- Therapists will be responsible for responsibilities of mandated reporters in the state of California, in accordance with state law.
- Therapists will also address issues that arise as per the normal course of treatment (ie. Consultation, appropriate referrals, etc.)
- Therapists will work with support staff to maintain a full schedule on a regular basis.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's Degree (MA) or equivalent, or four to ten years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
