What You’ll Do
- Provide direct counseling services to children
- Collaborate with the clinical team to create a treatment plan or an Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) for each child, including identifying specific counseling related goals
- Provide staff with essential information to better understand factors (cultural, societal, economic, familial, health, etc.) affecting a student’s performance and behavior
- Assist in developing positive behavioral intervention strategies
- Assess students with mental health concerns
- Develop staff in-service training programs
- Work with parents to facilitate their support in their children's school adjustment
- Assist teachers with behavior management
- Provide direct support to staff
What You’ll Need
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- Active license/ certification as a social worker for the state of Michigan (Must have LMSW and or LCSW)
- At least 2 years experience working in a school-based setting
- Experience with RTI/ MTSS and other intervention plans
- Excellent communication skills, specifically the ability to communicate with children of different ages and from different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
- To be comfortable conducting sessions via virtual meeting platforms
- A private workspace with secure internet connection
- Must be available during traditional school hours (8:00am-4:00pm) and days (Monday-Friday)

Pay: $49.00 - $54.00 per hour
