Life skills Coach
This is a part-time Life Skills Coaching position that involves helping an autistic adult in his mid 30s use his gifts well and improve on executive functioning weaknesses.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Helping the client improve time management and other organizational skills.
Assisting the client with forming and maintaining a stable daily routine.
Use positive encouragement to help the client learn how to live comfortably in an organized personal space.
Teach grooming and etiquette standards and procedures for the client's desired social activities. The ideal candidate will have a lot of patience and be able to understand the individual strengths and weaknesses that this client possesses without comparison to the rest of the population. Any experience with the disability in the form of coaching, teaching, tutoring, or as a mental health clinician would be valuable.
Bachelor's degree is required. Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Education, or Social Work and experience with different forms of autism is preferred.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
