HireArt is helping a growing property management/development company hire a Leasing Agent to collaborate closely with the leasing and marketing departments, including implementing promotional strategies.
In this role, you'll support the property management team with the check-in/check-out processes, pre/post-inspection, daily maintenance requests and other ad-hoc duties.
The ideal candidate has 1+ years of previous experience in sales, leasing or real estate, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. We're looking for someone who is familiar with social media platform operations and has excellent communication/negotiation skills with a customer service mindset.
As a Leasing Agent, you'll:
- Collaborate closely with the leasing/marketing departments to follow up with all leads generated from different channels.
- Innovate/implement promotion strategies including online/offline advertisements, virtual open house activities and community succession activities.
- Participate in innovation meetings to initiate the sales plan for different seasons with flexible strategies.
- Get familiar with all the properties/amenities to further develop an introductive strategy.
- Provide potential tenants with relevant information regarding their requirements and budget in a timely manner.
- Display properties for potential tenants in virtual/field tours and via online communications (i.e. phone/video calls), covering the facilities and available units.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of “Landlord and Tenant Law”, "Residential Real Estate Law" and related lawsuits:
- Send essential documents/notices/letters to tenants according to the required time frame.
- Respond/negotiate with tenants on specific terms and conditions.
- Communicate with tenants for necessary paperwork (e.g. leases/contracts, agreements, statements, etc.) and support the property management team with check-in/check-out processes, pre/post-inspections and daily maintenance requests.
- 1+ years experience in sales, leasing, real estate or a related field
- Familiarity with social media platforms operations (e.g. Facebook, X, Craigslist, Instagram, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PPT, Word, etc.) and Google Suite
- Excellent communication/negotiation skills with a customer service mindset
- Ability to learn quickly and thrive under pressure
- Knowledge of residential real estate law and practices
- Proven working experience as a leasing agent is preferred
- Bachelor degree or above is preferred

Commitment: This is a full-time, 6-month contract-to-hire position staffed via HireArt. It is open to candidates local to the Chicago, IL area.
