Stork Property Management is looking to hire a Maintenance Technician to join our firm, which owns multi-family, single-family, and mixed-use properties in Baltimore City. Role:
The Maintenance Technician will diagnose and repair minor issues in plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems, appliances, carpentry, roofing components, and other mechanical installations. They will also coordinate with subcontractors and vendors for major repairs, estimate labor and materials costs, and perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure all building systems and facilities are well-maintained.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and perform minor repairs on plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems, appliances, carpentry, roofing components, and other mechanical installations.
- Coordinate subcontractors and vendors for major repairs.
- Collect bids and estimate labor and materials costs for building improvements and repairs.
- Troubleshoot and perform approved minor repairs.
- Clean and maintain utility rooms, basement storage rooms, cleaning closets, and other areas designated for maintenance staff.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on building systems and facilities.
- Handle delinquency management collections and file necessary paperwork.
Results:
- Ensure all minor repairs are diagnosed and fixed promptly.
- Coordinate effectively with subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely completion of major repairs.
- Accurately estimate and manage costs for building improvements and repairs.
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of all designated maintenance areas.
- Perform preventative maintenance to minimize the occurrence of major issues.
- Achieve and maintain a high standard of property maintenance and tenant satisfaction.
Requirements:
- An Associate’s Degree or Trade License, Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, electrical, stormwater management, low voltage, roofing, structural, and residential systems inside houses, apartments, and retail stores.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Minimum 4 years of Maintenance Technician experience.
- Minimum 2 years in a customer service role.
- Competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Suite (GDrive, GMail, GDocs).

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
