Our technique is highly effective and all the protocols were developed by our Lead Nurse who is trained domestically and internationally in Medical Post Op Lymphatic Drainage. Position Overview: We are seeking responsible and skilled Medical Professional for Post-Operative Care (post-operative lymphatic drainage) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing specialized medical care to patients who have undergone various cosmetic surgical procedures, with a focus on post-operative lymphatic drainage techniques, and scar tissue reduction. This role requires expertise in managing patients' post-operative recovery and ensuring optimal healing through lymphatic drainage therapy. We are willing to FULLY train the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive assessments of patients' post-operative conditions and needs.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to patients' specific surgical procedures and medical histories.
- Administer post-operative lymphatic drainage therapy (that you will be trained on) to promote optimal healing and reduce swelling.
- Monitor patients' scar tissue and fibrosis, pain levels, and overall recovery progress.
- Educate patients and their families on post-operative care instructions, including proper diet and self-care techniques.
- Document all patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Valid LPN or CNA or Medical Assistant certificate/license in New York State.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare and/or in a surgical or post-operative care setting.
- Certification in lymphatic drainage therapy preferred but not required (you will be certified).
- Strong understanding of surgical procedures, post-operative complications, and wound care management.
- Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
