Overview:
HR receptionist and support duties to include: answering the department’s telephones; greet and provide assistance to visitors, applicants, and employees; provide secretarial/clerical support functions; file personnel/HR paperwork; complete reports. Provides backup support to the Executive Assistant to the CEO.
ESSENTIAL/CORE JOB-SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Performs primary receptionist duties for assigned entrance area including: greeting/directing visitors, providing general information upon request, answering telephones, taking messages, and routing calls and messages. Presents a professional, helpful, courteous, and positive attitude and demeanor at all times in dealing with the public and staff.
2. Provides back-up to the Executive Assistant to CEO by covering phones, assisting with greeting guests for CEO and scheduling calendar requests.
3. Assists prospective new hires as needed, including providing information; answering questions regarding application process, available positions, and application status. Reviews online applications for completeness. Maintains application desk and waiting area materials and supplies to ensure availability of needed items at all times. Completes organizing and straightening of areas as needed to ensure professional appearance and order at all times.
4. Assists in the drug and background screening process. Schedules fingerprinting appointments online. Collects and documents receipt of drug screening and fingerprinting results. Requests online background screening to include: Leon County, FDLE and ACHA background checks.
5. Reviews local law forms for completeness upon receipt; documents receipt of background screening packet on the Background Screening Checklist Form and in accordance with established Original Appointment Procedure.
Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday through Friday
Education/Experience:
