JOB DESCRIPTION
Daily duties include riding pens on horseback and identifying animals that need extra care.
Communicate with co-workers and ranch manager daily.
Monitor and assist movement of cattle at the feedlot as needed.
Safely and efficiently make sure cattle are cared for and have the basic needs to continue to grow in that environment.
Use your experience to help avoid or to reduce stress for the cattle in the lot to maintain good health for the herd, and to promote wellness and help control unwanted movement of pens.
General farm maintenance and care of facilities.
Feed and vet care provided for two horses for the rider.
Smoky Hill Feedlot is located near Falun in Southwest Saline County, Kansas.
