About Us:
Aptiva Health is a rapidly expanding multi-specialty medical group with locations throughout Kentucky. Aptiva Health is expanding our diagnostic imagining examination services and is looking for additional radiographers to perform diagnostic imaging examinations, such as x-rays, on patients. Additional imaging service lines are being added and will provide an opportunity for a motivated individual to join our team as a certified Radiologic Technologist.
Job Summary:
As a Radiologic Technologist at Aptiva Health we are looking for someone who is passionate about health care, patient comfort and interacting with patients. As a radiologic technologist at Aptiva Health you will be in charge of operating a Digital X-ray. You will have the chance to work and interact directly with patients as you ensure that they are comfortable and calm. You will utilize your medical knowledge by interviewing patients, explaining the procedure and placing the patient in the appropriate spot on the table. A qualified candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and familiar with the anatomical area that is being scanned and the patient’s history.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate equipment for imaging and anything related on various areas of the body in order to provide high quality images and information for patient diagnosis.
- Address patient concerns during the procedures, and explain the x-ray process to the patient in a way that is informative but also reassuring.
- Use tact, courtesy and poise when dealing with patients, keeping them calm and ensuring that they get the best care possible.
- Communicate effectively with other radiologists and health care professionals to ensure the message is getting across appropriately.
- Troubleshoot peripheral equipment and scanners to ensure that equipment is operating properly to avoid downtime or delays that affect patient satisfaction.
- Ensure patient safety with pre-screening for any contra-indications before the procedure.
- Provide training to new technologists with regular checks, direction and qualified work samples performed by an experienced team member.
- Handle high-stress environments in a calm manner when dealing with patients, technologist and physicians.
Job Qualifications
Required:
- Current state licensing
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist

Job Type: PRN
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 29 per week
