Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Take dental x-rays
- Prepare and maintain dental supplies and materials inventory
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records
- Perform patient assessment, including taking vital signs and medical history
Experience:
- Previous experience as a dental assistant preferred
- Knowledge of medical coding and documentation
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems such as Dentrix
- As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the dentist in providing quality dental care to patients. Your duties will include assisting during procedures, sterilizing instruments, taking x-rays, educating patients on oral hygiene, and managing patient records. Previous experience as a dental assistant is preferred, along with knowledge of medical coding and documentation. Familiarity with cord packing and fabrication of temporary crownsand bridges are desire skills for this role.
