The most progressive cutting tool company in the woodworking, plastics, and advanced material industries seeks an energetic and technically minded route sales candidate to provide weekly service support, and order fulfillment, for our customers in parts of north-eastern PA, NY & NJ. Ideal candidates will be located in or around Bartonville/East Stroudsburg, PA. Candidate will work directly with our local Leitz Technical Sales Consultant (TSC) to support existing customers and assist in the development of new customers. High performing candidates will have the opportunity to advance into a TSC role over time.

Base salary plus monthly territory commission. Starting salary is negotiable based on experience and knowledge of the woodworking industry, cutting tools and applications.
Duties include maintaining and building customer relations within territory, boosting current customer sales, full engagement to meet customer satisfaction and standards, and supporting other team members throughout the sales process.
Company phone, electronics, vehicle, fuel, and all travel expenses covered. Insurance, 401K, and vacation time also provided.
Essential Functions
- Generate sales of stock tooling and service (tool sharpening/refurbishing) to current customers.
- Promote servicing of tools to customers.
- Help prospect potential customers to develop new business.
- Obtain and facilitate technical assistance for client inquires.
- Provide order and application details as requested by technical specialists.
- Serve as company liaison with customers on sales, accounting, shipping and other administrative matters.
- Promote special programs and sales promotions to customers.
- Maintain effective communications with customers and office personnel.
- Daily contact with customers and potential customers. Frequent contact with sales and support personnel at headquarters.
Competencies –Solid business acumen with excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Self-motivated, results driven, with excellent time management skills and strong customer service focus. Technical/mechanical competence, attentive to detail, with ability to problem solve.
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least two years of field sales, service, or technical support experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience a plus.
- Computer software experience including Microsoft Office Products.
- Knowledge of woodworking tools is a plus.
- Valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record is mandatory, must have an understanding of geographical locations and able to use navigation devices and apps.
- Ability to learn and develop a good understanding of company products and services in order to meet customer needs.
