Occupational Health, Safety & Facilities Safety Inspector
About the Role: We're seeking a meticulous Facilities Safety Inspector to join our Occupational Safety and Health Team. This critical role focuses on conducting comprehensive inspections of USCP facilities to ensure compliance with safety standards and identify potential hazards. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a passion for maintaining safe work environments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough safety evaluations and inspections of facilities occupied by USCP employees
- Identify and document compliance issues related to published safety standards
- Coordinate site visits with Facilities Managers, the Office of the Architect of the Capitol, and appropriate USCP officials
- Execute comprehensive facility evaluations focused on regulatory compliance and hazard identification
- Prepare detailed written reports of inspection findings, including clear recommendations for corrective actions
- Conduct research to determine applicable regulatory requirements for various facility types and operations
- Assist in developing and implementing facility safety guidelines and procedures
- Perform follow-up inspections to ensure proper implementation of recommended safety measures
- Inspect specialty equipment and evaluate safety procedures within USCP facilities
- Assist in the development and delivery of facility safety training programs for department inspectors

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Facilities Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2-4 years of experience in facility safety inspections or related roles
- Thorough knowledge of OSHA standards and other relevant safety regulations
- Proficiency in using inspection software and database management systems
- Excellent observation skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
