Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medication Technician to join our team. As a Medication Technician, you will be responsible for assisting in the administration of medications to patients, ensuring their safety and well-being. Your attention to detail and knowledge of medical procedures will be crucial in providing quality care to our residents.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications to patients as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor patients for any adverse reactions or side effects from medication
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient
- Assist with physical examinations and vital sign measurements
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with activities of daily living
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper medication management
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a Medication Technician or similar role preferred
- Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology
- Familiarity with Cerner or similar electronic medical record systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively
- Compassionate and caring attitude towards patients
- Must be able to pass a background check
