Overview:
Opry Provisions seeks a skilled and experienced Bartender to join our boutique cocktail bar & bottle shop. We feature a carefully curated selection of craft cocktails, wines, spirits, draft beers, and live music. The ideal candidate will be passionate about artisanal cocktail creation, possess a working knowledge of cocktails, and have experience in creating an inviting customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Bar & Bottle Shop Operations:
- Oversee and ensure the smooth functioning of the bar, inventory, supplies and storefront areas.
- Coordinate with staff and ownership to maintain high-quality service standards.
Cocktail Preparation:
- Responsible for cocktail prep, including garnishes, batching and storage efficiency.
- Create new menu items in consultation with ownership.
- Maintain purchase orders, and update POS
Inventory and Supply Management:
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of all bar supplies and ingredients.
Cleanliness and Organization:
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
- Implement and uphold hygiene and safety standards in accordance with health regulations.
Guest Satisfaction:
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Address customer queries efficiently and professionally.
Cash and Payment Handling:
- Responsible for accurate cash handling and processing payments.
- Ensure all transactions are completed according to company policies.
Product Knowledge:
- Stay informed and comfortable with all products available in-house, including craft cocktails, wines, spirits, and draft beers.
- Educate and advise customers on selections, fostering a knowledgeable and engaging environment.
Team:
- Fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
- Participate in staff training sessions to ensure team proficiency in product knowledge and service standards.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience as a bartender in a craft cocktail environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational abilities.
- Knowledgeable in artisanal cocktail creation, wine, spirits, and beer.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to handle 20-30 patrons independently.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to work on one’s feet for several hours consecutively.
