We are looking for a trusted leader to oversee operational excellence of our behavioral health and substance use partners and programs in keeping with The Be Well mission of leading the nation in accessible mental health care. We seek an operational leader who has also led teams as a licensed practitioner of the healing arts (e.g., LMFT, LCSW, MSN/PMH-BC). An experienced operations/program and services development leader, who actively develops, implements, and oversees the major programs and services initiatives of Mind OC in support of the Be Well OC System of Care.

Role Description
Position Summary: The Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, managing teams, budgeting, and ensuring client care. The Executive Director provides strategic direction, leadership, and professional clinical/operations support to operationalize new and existing campus services. The Executive Director unifies all programs and services into a comprehensive, consumer-centered system. This work happens in partnership with the Executive Director of the adjacent Irvine campus, the Executive Director of Mobile Operations, as well as across the Mind OC/Be Well system. The Executive Director achieves specified outcomes through excellence in leadership, communication, and proactive contribution to the cross-functional campus teams of Mind OC and Be Well OC. Results are demonstrated through measurement, analysis, production and interpretation of process and outcomes data; particular attention is given to measuring the impact of services in the areas of access, experience, quality outcomes, and cost.
Primary Functions
- Oversees and provides strategic direction for senior campus leaders through supervision and support. Oversees a blend of quality and direct care leaders, with adjacent service supports along with safety and building management.
- Monitors and guides continuous quality improvement of mental health and substance use services across the campus, by advancing metrics and reporting in access, experience, quality outcomes and costs.
- Integrates transformative changes and standardized clinical practices into care delivery that reduce variation and close gaps in care, ensuring that all persons who need mental health services receive the care that they need.
- Oversees and ensures appropriate and timely linkage to programs and coordinated facilitation of intake/admissions, and timely linkage to referral sources upon discharge.
- Works extremely well in complex systems, with multiple partners of various sectors, cultures and scope-of-care within the Be Well OC System of Care, in order to successfully operationalize the major programs and services of the campus.
- Assesses and determines the financial sustainability needs of a wide range of programs and services and is highly effective in managing the public and private contracts required to support the work.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Nursing, Clinical Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Public Health or comparable degree.
- Fully and unrestricted licensed mental health practitioner of the healing arts or Nurse Practitioner or Master’s Prepared RN with psychiatric experience in California.
- 5+ years of leadership experience, with demonstrated expertise in cross functional teams, fiscal stewardship, and operational diligence.
- An experienced licensed practitioner of the healing arts, clinical leader, and operations/program and services development leader, who actively develops, implements, and oversees the major programs and services initiatives of Mind OC in support of the Be Well OC System of Care.
- Experience in grant development and contract management preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and environment while ensuring quality compliance
- Experience in the mental health or healthcare industry
*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications.
