This unique opportunity involves overseeing all food service operations, ensuring quality control, maintaining food safety, spearheading new product development, and identifying new revenue-generating opportunities. Your efforts will directly support our mission: to ensure that no senior in our community is hungry or forgotten.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Excellence: Manage and enhance the quality of meals through nutritional improvements and scratch cooking, catering to chronic disease management and cultural diversity.
- Culinary Innovation: Lead hands-on menu and recipe development, fostering a dynamic and innovative culinary team. Work cooperatively with the Registered Dietitian Nutritionist to create medically tailored meals for complex medical conditions.
- Scalability: Oversee the daily production of 3,000-4,000 meals, along with catering services, and implement strategies to scale operations efficiently.
- Financial: Oversees the department budget and manages costs.
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, daytime hours with infrequent evening and weekend requirements for events.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Culinary Expertise: Strong culinary background with a focus on nutrition in healthcare settings and high-volume meal production.
- Preferred Certifications: Certified Dietary Manager or Certified Culinary Medicine Professional is a plus.
- Leadership Experience: Proven track record of leadership and team building in high-volume food service environments.
- Program Development: Experience in launching new programs and driving innovation.
