This role provides maintenance services to TRA’s buildings and grounds including, but not limited to; general maintenance and landscape services as required. Works closely with the Facilities Manager to support work on all phases of repair, maintenance, and alteration of buildings, interior finishes, flooring and general building maintenance. Performs a variety of semiskilled duties in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine servicing, electrical, or vehicle servicing. Complies with established safety guidelines and procedures. Provide backup support to the Couriers.
Pay: $21.00 - $28.48 per hour based on relevant experience, skills, and abilities.
Schedule: 1.0 FTE - 40 hours - Monday - Friday - Will be a point of contact in a rare building emergency.

Essential Job Functions:
- Responsible for general building maintenance, and reports heating, electrical and plumbing issues to the Facilities Manager.
- Responsible for routine maintenance on building equipment and light carpentry duties.
- Makes visual inspections of building & grounds continually and resolves any issues in a timely fashion.
- Ensures the highest maintenance standards of facilities are met including; removal trash, waste removal, graffiti removal and any addressing any other issues that may arise.
- Participates in the planning and management of small facilities repair and maintenance projects; assists with large projects as requested or required.
- Works with minimal supervision and proactively addresses general and routine maintenance issues.
- Ensure equipment and physical spaces are in compliance with established safety guidelines.
- Monitors and addresses all facilities work requests in a timely fashion.
- Works closely with the Facilities Manager to support work on all phases of repair, maintenance, and alteration of buildings, interior finishes, flooring and general building maintenance.
- Provides back up support to the couriers and transport mail, supplies, medical images and on occasion, personnel, when needed.
- Works with marketing and other departments on event transportation and setup.
- Checks work email daily.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education/Work Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Demonstrated applicable work experience in maintenance, carpenter, or construction-related field.
- Current driver’s license valid in the state of Washington is required or other evidence of equivalent mobility.
Job Knowledge/Skills
- Must possess good troubleshooting and mechanical skills
- Must have knowledge of and complies with safety rules, practices and equipment.
- Proficiency in MS Office and calendar management.
- Ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills.
- Communicate professionally with other medical facilities, patients, and customers.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and carry out instructions effectively.
Physical Requirements
Work is classified as moderate in physical requirements. Must be able to support or lift/carry 1-10 pounds frequently, occasionally 40-60 pounds. Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods of time. Reaching by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction. Also requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment as necessary.
Mental Requirements
Work requires high attention to detail and the ability to handle mentally stressful situations. The ability to maintain high level of sensitivity towards confidential information is also required.
Working/Environmental Conditions
Work environment typically consists of normal office or administrative working conditions. Conditions may vary based on project work and weather. There may be exposure to communicable diseases. There will be limited exposure to ionizing radiation.
