Our client, whose principal business activities are the development, distribution, and licensing of patented proprietary threaded fasteners and drive systems, is currently looking to significantly expand its presence in the North American market.
We are looking for an individual to continue to build and drive new customer acquisitions, manage current key accounts, and take full ownership of the NA business unit.
Responsibilities:
- Drive significant growth of newly formed Business Unit focusing on new customer acquisition opportunities in both OEM and direct to retail
- Responsible for managing overall day to day business activities for North American business including oversight of sales, marketing, and 3PL warehousing operations
- Ownership of NA P&L, working capital management, and operating cash flow
- Represent the company in negotiations with customers, key suppliers, and other key contacts responsible for securing optimal contract terms and conditions
- Develop and execute on growth strategies that develop new sales channels and markets either through acquisition or by organic means
- Work with commercial team to identify and acquire new customers; increase sales pipeline value and hit rate with existing customer base
- Provide strategic advice and guidance to the CEO and members of the board of directors
- Manage supply chain and distribution strategies to drive optimal inventory levels
- Responsible for global customer conformance requirements (health/labor/ethics/corruption etc.)
Qualifications:
- Four-year degree in a business-related or technical field, MBA a plus
- 5+ years of experience in the building trade industry as a supplier, distributor, or customer
- Strong program management skills
- Ability to generate and close new leads in both retail, building trades, E-Comm, and OEM applications
- P&L ownership experience
- Experience in establishing and executing on business strategies that drive revenue growth
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Negotiation experience a plus
- Ability to operate in a small company atmosphere and effectively manage a small, multi-disciplined team of dedicated professionals
- Ability to travel as required
