Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced RN to manage a 27-bed floor (which includes short-term rehabilitation and dementia certified care) and provide support to the overall nursing department as Assistant Director of Nursing. This is a leadership role that requires flexibility with strong organizational and communication skills.
Primary Duties:
- Direct management and overall clinical responsibility of 27-bed floor (that includes short-term rehabilitation and dementia certified care).
- Completes admission and periodic assessments and educates patient/family regarding discharge planning supports.
- As the Assistant Director of Nursing, supports the Director of Nursing with overall resident/patient care and nursing department initiatives.
- Medically manages resident/patient care including creating and maintaining current plans of care to optimize clinical outcomes and resident/patient satisfaction.
- Supports the development and implementation of nursing policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Participates in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements as prescribed/directed by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) for long-term care.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Current unencumbered Massachusetts RN license
- Proven experience in nurse management or leadership role in acute or post-acute care setting
- Knowledge and ability to effectively use electronic medical record with Point Click Care (PCC) experience preferred
