Job Description:
Reporting to the Founder/Principal and Management, this individual will be a vital part of the Bässler team, this role requires a high level of experience in accounting principles and client management. You will provide full cycle accounting services and analysis, tax planning, cash management, payroll functions, business advisory and management, complex partner management, and financial planning and strategy for clients. This individual oversees the accounting activities, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance while acting as a leader, mentor, and role model for all Bässler staff. This role reviews and analyzes prepared monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting operations and reporting in line with applicable accounting and Firm standards ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and completeness.
This individual holds an adaptability and change mindset through all situations, guiding and directing priorities, deadlines, and tasks for Staff level accountants while encouraging and motivating the team. This individual is an effective communicator, clearly communicating the vision, goals, and expectations to the internal team and clients, while supporting collaboration and transparency. Senior accountants develop a clear vision and strategy for all clients in their portfolio, in-line with Bassler’s goals and objectives while identifying opportunities for process improvements through strategic planning. This individual fosters a positive working environment, adapts to changes in the business environment, while leading with initiative, resilience, and flexibility.

Responsibilities:
Ongoing management of multiple client portfolios requiring in-depth communication with internal and external teams to always ensure excellent customer and financial services
Act as client point of contact for all clients in portfolio along with Principal and Management
Preparation and review of account reconciliations for accuracy and completeness
Review/preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports and statements prepared by Staff, inclusive of sitting with Principal/Management for review and effectively communicating edits to Staff until report completion
Preparing and reviewing recurring and ongoing posting of journal entries
AR/AP, Payroll functions, Account reconciliations
Business Process Filings (B&O, Property Tax, etc.)
Preparation of Tax Workpapers, review of tax return (Entity specific)
Ad-Hock business reports and financial statement generation, review, and analysis
1099 and W-2 preparation
Provide support to outside auditors, tax preparers, and legal teams
Ensure compliance with all agencies: State, Local, Federal (Payroll, B&O Tax, State Tax, etc.)
Assist with additional projects as requested
Ensuring completion of all tasks by deadlines, inclusive of Staff tasks and priorities while teaching, assisting, and mentoring Staff accountants as needed
Overseeing and reviewing the work of staff accountants, providing guidance and mentorship as needed
Efficiently and effectively communicating status on all client related tasks to Principal and Management
Provide the highest level of customer service throughout all client and internal interactions
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance required
3+ years of relevant professional experience in accounting or related industry
Outstanding customer relationship management experience
Holds a high level of time efficiency in accounting and business management tasks
Experience interacting in a client services environment, specifically with senior level management
GAAP, Tax, and accrual-based accounting knowledge. Position has significant accounting components and requires a strong understanding of accounting and its application
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Demonstrated experience with high proficiency in QuickBooks online, Gusto experience a plus
Strong organizational and project management skills. Proven ability to plan and manage projects independently and in a team along with ensuring high quality deliverables
Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal, written and presentation) skills. Position involves communication and presentations to client stakeholders, including executives and principals
Must have ability to multitask and toggle between multiple tasks and priorities
Must have critical attention to detail and be a strong analytical thinker
Must be an organized, detail-oriented, problem solver capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines
Must demonstrate a humble no task is too big or too small attitude
Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
