You qualify if you are a Licensed Vocational Nurse with a current TX license. Candidate will work in outpatient clinic dispensing medications for addiction treatment (MAT) including methadone/suboxone per DEA, Federal, and Texas guidelines. Previous experience working in alcohol/drug treatment setting and/or MAT preferred but not required. Must be able to manage day to day activities of opiate treatment program including working with an electronic health record. Salary based on experience and is negotiable.
An ideal dispensing nurse candidate works cooperatively with supervisory counseling staff and demonstrates a non-judgmental and accepting attitude toward the Substance Use Disorder.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Dispenses prescribed medications, including Methadone, Suboxone, and Buprenorphine
- Inputs patient dosing/medication electronically in health record
- Records and audits the dispensing of MAT to insure compliance with the Federal, State, and local regulations
- Completes daily reports of patients seen and medicated with accuracy
- Other related duties as determined by supervisor
Qualifications
- Current & good standing LVN license in the State of TX
- Current CPR certification required
- EMR & computer proficiency desired
- Experience in chemical dependency preferred, self-motivated and directed, must have a positive attitude toward individuals in substance abuse treatment
