Position Summary
The incumbent of this position is responsible to the church for leading, developing, promoting all song selections and implementing all music ministries under the supervision of the Lead Pastor or designee. National Ministries strives to worship in excellence, pleasing God in all we do. Therefore, our staff should execute their duties in one accord with a desire for excellence.
Qualifications
Must have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ and be striving to grow in that relationship.
Must have the ability to play music via piano and organ.
Must have the ability to organize and lead Choirs, Ensembles, and Band.
Must have the ability to choose, arrange, and plan song selections appropriate for Church Services.
A heart for personal and corporate worship of God.
A passion to involve and equip people for ministry.
A willingness to work with a team concept.
A yearning to reach the loss.
An understanding of the theology of worship.
Must have training and demonstrated leadership ability in Christian education and music applicable to individuals of all ages.
Must be presentable in appearance while working at church or leading services.
Must meet regularly with the pastor or their designee for planning, reporting, and evaluation.
Must meet regularly with key leaders of the Music Ministry.
Must meet regularly with the Executive Director.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Minister of Music will lead the Worship and Fine Arts department.
Work in concert with the lead pastor to develop and coordinate music for the worship services that fit the theme of the service.
Recruit, lead, and train the worship team, choir, ensembles, all musicians, praise and worship dancers, and drama ministry, all assigned to the Music Ministry.
Develop key music ministries within the congregation and supervise the organization and direction of such individuals/groups.

Music/Song Direction for all services through the end of service.
Provide input into all events and services that require music.
Plan special programs for holiday services.
Assist with the maintenance of the music library and musical instruments.
Administer the Music Ministry by encouraging teamwork and mutual support.
Arrange for a replacement in the event of an absence. Ensure coverage/schedule guest musicians when necessary.
All other duties as assigned by the Pastor or their designee.
