SENIOR MAINTENANCE WORKER: The successful applicant will lead a crew and personally perform various parks, landscape and/or facilities maintenance tasks. This position will be responsible for adhering to maintenance and safety standards that strengthen the community image and sense of place in all District Facilities and Parks.
ABOUT THE JOB: This recruitment is for one, full-time, year-round position. Under general supervision, maintains and repairs District parks, grounds, plantings, recreation areas and facilities; performs maintenance; performs routine custodial work; inspects, diagnoses and troubleshoots basic equipment and operating problems; performs repairs and installs new equipment; responds to emergency and/or special event requests; performs basic construction and remodeling to District facilities; as qualified and assigned, operates specialized equipment such as mowers, aerators, heavy trucks, backhoes and related construction equipment; assists other employees with their tasks as necessary; purchases materials and supplies from established suppliers with appropriate authorization; and other related work as required. General supervision is provided by a management position. The Senior Maintenance Worker is responsible for the crew in completing a predetermined schedule of work.
Salary range of $5,305.16 to $6,448.46 a month ($30.61 to $37.20 hourly), plus benefits
