Overview:We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Front Desk Manager. As the Front Desk Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the front desk area and ensuring exceptional customer service. This is a key role in our organization, as you will be the first point of contact for our customers and play a vital role in creating a positive and welcoming experience. Pet Industry experience is a plus.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Handling customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests professionally to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Manage and supervise front desk staff, including scheduling, training, and development
- Ensure smooth operation of the front desk area, including managing check-in/check-out processes, handling inquiries, and resolving customer issues
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with other departments to ensure adequate stock of supplies
- Conduct employee orientation and provide ongoing training to front desk staff
- Implement and maintain efficient shift management procedures to optimize productivity
- Oversee retail sales activities, including pricing, merchandising, and stock management
- Maintain a clean and organized store
- Creating and using marketing activities to attract new customers and keep current ones, often by using social media, hosting events, and building partnerships.
Skills:
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proven experience in retail sales and retail management
- Ability to train and develop employees effectively
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Proficient in using computer systems and software applications
- Ability to interview potential candidates for front desk positions
