JOST INTERNATIONAL IS HIRING A FACILITIES MAINTENANCE LEAD FOR A POSITION IN GRAND HAVEN, MICHIGAN

FACILITIES MAINTENANCE LEAD INTRODUCTION: This position reports to the Maintenance Manager and is solely accountable for the fulfillment of all assigned duties and may delegate authority equal to assigned responsibilities.
Assists in ensuring that the JOST International facilities and equipment run to maximum efficiency and output while supplying a safe and clean workplace for all employees. This role is responsible to assist in the management of the day-to-day work load for the facilities maintenance team to ensure a preferred work environment.
FACILITIES MAINTENANCE LEAD AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: Include, but are not limited to:
- Maintains and repairs infrastructure systems and equipment within all assigned Jost properties.
- Performs scheduled planned preventative maintenance in accordance to minimize unplanned downtime and unsafe conditions.
- Coordinate with contractors in providing contracted services.
- Records and documents work on both paper and our CMMS as is required.
- Establish schedules and methods for providing facility maintenance services; identify resource needs; review needs with appropriate management staff; allocate resources accordingly.
- Provides solid analysis with accurate data of issues to root cause and development of countermeasures, improvement actions and/or suggestions to improve.
- Understands and maintains high standards of tidiness and organization in line with good 5S (Sort, Set In Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) practice.
- Monitors and controls supplies and equipment; order supplies and tools as necessary; prepare documents for procurement; prepare specifications and contracts for contracted services.
- Participate in the development of goals and objectives as well as policies and procedures; make recommendations for changes and improvements to existing standards, policies, and procedures; participate in the implementation of approved policies and procedures; monitor work activities to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.

FACILITIES MAINTENANCE LEAD REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years of experience in working with facilities management.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in leading, developing and managing people with varying levels of ability in an applicable field.
- Strong interpersonal, organization, problem solving, verbal and written skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and with clarity.
- Basic knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Able to proactively engage, coach and lead a diverse team.
- Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, with an understanding of the impact of failure/downtime in production and how it affects customer delivery.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and recognized Quality Control tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Ability to gain and maintain proper certifications for the position.
- Ability to gain knowledge and understanding of JOST Basic Processes and company products.
- Ability to follow company quality, safety, environmental policies, procedures and practices with the understanding of regulatory requirements (OSHA, MIOSHA).
FACILITIES MAINTENANCE LEAD PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing duties of this job, the employee will regularly; sit, stand, walk, see, hear, reach, bend, twist, push, pull and occasionally will be required to stoop, kneel, lift or move objects of 51 pounds or less with or without assistance.
