Job Description
The warehouse associate is responsible for specialized warehouse tasks in loading, unloading, order pulling, shipping, or may have a generalized role working in all departments.
Responsibilities
- Loading, unloading, sorting, picking, stocking, staging, and transportation of goods.
- Load and unload materials to and from designated storage area, such as racks, shelves, or vehicles. Stack or pile materials, such as boxes or pallets as well as shipping trucks.
- Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.
- Process paperwork necessary for order completion.
- Verify computations against physical count of stock – Cycle Counting.
- Maintains condition of work area (i.e. free of trash, product in correct location, etc.).
- Follow company safety policies and procedures and encourages other associates to do the same.
- Operate machinery in order to complete tasks.
- Utilize RF equipment when fulfilling orders.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Promotes a safe work environment through personal actions. Identify and report any concerns.
Qualifications
- Must be organized and detail oriented, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
- A driven, hard-working individual with a team-oriented mindset
- Experience utilizing a Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- 2+ years distribution/ order picking experience
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. repetitively and up to 140 lbs. with assistance
- HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
