BARC Developmental Services is a not-for-profit agency serving Bucks County Pennsylvania individuals and families since 1951. We are currently hiring for the position of Direct Care Professional in our Residential Department. There are direct support positions for home care available in our homes in Doylestown, and Bucks County. Come join us!
The Direct Support Professionals are responsible to assist individuals with intellectual disabilities in meeting their needs in daily tasks, including personal hygiene, direct care, and working with our supported individuals in our residential homes. Direct care providers act as role models and provide assistance through home care, while implementing our Individuals' support plans. Program safety, support plans, and documentation are daily job requirements. These positions work hours daily or 3pm-11pm with alternating weekends. This is a full time, benefited position - 40 hours per week. Great opportunity to start your career!
REQUIREMENTS:
· High school diploma or GED
· Must be at least 21 years old to be eligible for driving position
· Must have had a valid driver's license for at least 3 years and have an acceptable driving record according to agency policy.
· Some previous experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities helpful
· Good communication skills and computer experience
· Background checks are done on all applicants
The starting rate for the Direct Support Professional is $17.00-$17.63 per hour based on amount of experience in Human Services related positions.
