Position: Center Director
The Director supports school operations by performing the more sensitive, difficult, and complex office functions.
Pay: Starting salary $43,500

QUALIFICATIONS

- Ability to work closely with other managers, teacher-leaders, and support staff.
- As well as support the center Director to meet the expectations of the parents. In addition, the candidate will:
- Maintain Office services by organizing; controlling correspondence; & answer phones, and maintaining filing systems.
- Assist with HR to ensure all background checks and fingerprints have been processed for incumbent employees.
- Work closely with the Center Director as needed to conduct classroom observations to assess teacher-leader performance
- Assist the Director to cover absences, i.e. lead a classroom, assist with meals, and open and or close the center as needed.
- Assist staff in communicating with parents and children
- Ensure facilities and materials are maintained and cleaned according to state & center guidelines.
- Demonstrate flexibility.
- A self-starter who possesses the ability to work independently.
- Excellent customer service skills are required.
- Punctual.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred!
- Experience of at least 2 years in a Quality Rated setting is a plus.
- First Aid/CPR required.
- Familiar with Google workspace, Microsoft, Procare, CRM, and Kidkare.
- Director Certification A plus
Candidate must have prior classroom experience and possess excellent oral and written communication skills. In addition, the candidate should demonstrate confidence in giving tours to prospective parents, writing newsletters, developing and reviewing lesson plans, and running staff meetings.
ORGANIZATIONAL/INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
A high level of organizational and interpersonal skills is required. Attention to detail and working well with others are also required. Must have the ability to manage and present oneself professionally.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift at least 40 pounds
- Able to do a lot of walking throughout the day without getting exhausted.
