The VNA is seeking a full time Volunteer Coordinator to collaborate with the Volunteer Services team to develop, plan and coordinate the volunteer program and activities. Perform a variety of responsible, and confidential clerical duties. Provide assistance to the Volunteer Manager for volunteer activities throughout the Agency.
Responsibilities:

Responsible for assigning, coordinating, and supervising patient volunteers on the home team, Hospice House and additional Hospice areas of service as needed.

Coordinate and supervise all patient visits and volunteer interventions.

Evaluate and counsel volunteers on their performance as required.

Train new patient visit volunteers in the areas of patient visit documentation; volunteer service time keeping, first visit evaluations, facility tours, welcome bag and other visit materials per Medicare/NHPCO standards

Conduct initial assessment of patient and family needs appropriate for volunteer support.

Keep accurate documentation of volunteer assignments including documentation of hours served on a monthly and quarterly basis.

Update documentation in medical charts as required.

Participate as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team, QAPI, Hospice Stand Up/Down calls, and attend other staff meetings as appropriate.

Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Team to meet patient needs.

Assist in planning and coordination of volunteer recognition strategies and events.

Assist in the recruitment of qualified volunteers into the Hospice program.

Perform other duties as requested or required.
Qualifications:
Six months to one year of related experience.
