Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated IT Intern to join our dynamic team. As an IT Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of information technology and support our IT team in daily operational tasks and projects. This internship will provide valuable insight into the IT field and a chance to work closely with experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of software and hardware systems.
- Helping set up new computers
- Being the liaison to our IT support
- Calling IT support with issues
- Helping staff with day to day IT issues
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in person, remotely, and via phone.
- Provide technical support across the company (this may include troubleshooting network problems, printer issues, and email connectivity).
- Assist in maintaining inventory records of hardware, software licenses, and user information.
- Set up and configure new employee workstations and peripherals.
- Document technical procedures and user guides.
- Perform routine audits of systems and software.
- Assist in various IT projects as needed.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong desire to learn along with a professional drive.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Familiarity with Windows and/or MacOS environments.
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with IT support ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
- Basic understanding of Active Directory and Group Policy.
- Previous internship or work experience in IT support is a plus.
