A Plant Maintenance Trainee position is available immediately in the Atlanta Division.
SUMMARY: Under general supervision, learns how to set up, install, repair, and maintain plant machinery and equipment also engaged with fabricating metal parts and tools.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains the highest standard of safety in all areas of plant maintenance.
- Learns to troubleshoot plants on equipment-related issues and strategize solutions.
- Assists Area Plant Maintenance Manager in electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment.
- Assists Area Plant Maintenance Manager in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
- Learns how to dismantle, assemble, and install industrial machinery.
- Communicates with Area Plant Maintenance Manager about plant issues and supply of spare parts.
- Learns techniques to safely improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Maintains communication with Plant Manager/Area Plant Maintenance Manager regarding needs or problems relating to plant.
- Ability to operate front-end loader.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training.
- Team-based interpersonal skills; positive and constructive approach.
- Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must possess knowledge of pneumatic controls and hydraulic systems.
- Welding and Cutting experience a plus
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have a current valid driver's license and an acceptable MVR to operate company vehicle.

Pay: $18.90 - $23.10 per hour
