MASTER FABRICATOR/WELDER

This position reports to the Shop Foremen.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT IN THIS ROLE:
As a Master Fabricator / Welder, you will work both independently and with other welders/fabricators to service and repair transporters. You will be the lead problem solver and team leader. Your tasks will include cutting, welding, assembling, and installing materials and hardware. As the project progresses, duties may evolve and become more defined. Daily responsibilities involve problem-solving and critical thinking.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: **
- Serve as a team leader, coaching and training team members, sharing expertise, and tackling complex problems.
- Operate a hydraulic press-brake, shear, and other machinery with confidence.
- Cut, fit, and TIG weld aluminum and stainless steel (thin or light gauge - 16ga - 12ga).
- Fabricate, torch, grind, and manufacture aluminum and steel components.
- Fabricate, assemble, and install materials in both welding and non-welding capacities.
- Operate a wide range of power and hand tools, including saws, grinders, drills, welders, overhead cranes, man-lifts, and forklifts.
- Read and understand blueprint specifications to measure and position metal materials accurately for welding operations.
- Accurately read and use tape measures and other measuring tools (imperial).
- Comply with company safety policies, maintain a clean and organized work area, and perform regular maintenance on tools.
- Accurately record time spent on projects.
- Properly sign out required inventory materials and hardware for specific projects.

- Experience: Excellent at TIG welding aluminum and stainless steel (thin / or light gauge) (must have)
